Remote Sensing at a Caddo Hamlet
A geophysical survey was conducted at three previously identified Caddo sites in the area proposed for Lake Naconiche, Nacogdoches County, Texas. The objective of the geophysical survey was to locate anomalies in certain parts of each of these sites that may represent potential archeological features. The three sites, Tallow Grove (41NA231), Foggy Fork (41NA235), and Beech Ridge (41NA242), were surveyed with Geometrics 858 portable cesium sensor magnetometer. This site presents data from two of these sites Tallow Grove and Beech Ridge.
